Mostly Modern

About the event
The FAB5 was launched in 2021 as a passion project during the Covid vaccine rollout, born from a spontaneous desire to bring live music to the thousands waiting in line at NYC’s Javits Center led by Mostly Modern’s General Director, Victoria Paterson. Since then, it has evolved into a dynamic ensemble initiative, performing in public spaces such as parks, markets, train stations, lobbies, hospitals, senior centers, as well as ‘traditional’ concert halls. Featuring a rotating lineup of Broadway’s finest musicians and top student alumni from the Mostly Modern Festival, FAB5 delivers a rich blend of musical styles. Their signature sound—combining a string quartet with cajon & drums—creates a unique and engaging experience. Hugely popular, FAB5 brings the perfect mix of classical, popular, and healing music to communities, performing Family, Film, Classical, Celtic, and Latin, alongside brand-new commissioned pieces designed to delight and de-stress.
